Kota Kinabalu: The recently concluded Sabah Climate Change International Conference that was held on the 14th and 15th December 2021 was attended by local and international participants at Shangri-La Tanjung Aru Resort, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia and virtually through Zoom.

As part of the conference, a Youth Forum and Our Voice on Climate Change sessions were organised for participation of the youths in Sabah with regards to climate change issues. As a result of these sessions, three youth-led presentations were given in the two-day conference.

In the Youth Forum session, the first presentation was given by Mr Hiew Soon Fung from PETRONAS, while the second presentation was given by Miss Darshini Krishnan from SM St. Patrick Tawau.

A presentation of the statement by youths on their climate change aspirations during the Conference’s Our Voice on Climate Change session was given by Mr Mohd Nurazmeel Mokhtar from Sabah Wetlands Conservation Society, as the representative of the youths in Sabah who participated in the questionnaire for the conference.
